Langtang region is toward the north of Kathamndu Valley. The scenery here is spectacular, and the trek more adventurous as the area is visited by fewer tourists. To the west of Langtang is Ganesh Himal with range of 6,000 to 7,000 meters. The main ethnic groups living here are Sherpas and Tamangs. The forests in the region have temperate and sub-alpine vegetation. Wildlife includes migratory birds, deer, Monkeys, Thar and Pika. Helambu, the mid elevation region to the Park's south, is a study centre of Tibetan Buddhism. Camping trek is the type of trek where all the trekking gears such as tents, mattresses, sleeping bags, toilet tents, kitchen tens, kitchen utensils, etc. will be provided by us and a certain numbers of support staff and guide based on the size of the group. A sirdar (chief guide) will be employed to handle the whole trekking program. However, while you are on a camping trek, you will have to stick to the program and schedule which is pre-arranged by the sirdar.
